Work is now well underway and the major works along the reservoir path including the resurfacing, re-edging and re-grading the inclines have now been completed.

Currently the path behind the Tunnel End Inn and along to Orchard Hey is being worked on to re-establish the surface and the edging and to re-define the route. This will form part of the circular push-chair friendly route as well as improving access for local residents.

Now we are starting to look forward to introducing a range of ideas and activities to help launch and promote the route in Spring of 2013 including creative workshops for all the family, activities and events and the setting up of a 'friends of tunnel end' group and a young conservationists group.

The deadline for submissions  has now expired. Many thanks to all who expressed an interest.
